Going the extra mile with special delivery services

In some industries, regular delivery services don't quite cut it. Here, we take a look at examples of industries that rely on special services from StarTrack.

Life-saving organ transplants

The Australian Kidney Exchange (AKX) Program is bringing new hope to people who are waiting for kidney transplants. If a patient has a living donor, but they are incompatible based on their blood or tissue type, the program matches them with another recipient – effectively creating a two-way kidney swap.

Donors and recipients live all over Australia, with the matching done via computer. When compatible matches are found, months of planning ensue to prepare the patients, donors and medical teams for a single day of procedures. On this day, for the program to be a success, the kidneys must be carefully transported from one hospital to the next – and this is where StarTrack steps in.

Going above and beyond for childcare set-ups

Modern Teaching Aids (MTA) is one of StarTrack’s oldest customers. Established 60 years ago, it was the first Australian company to sell quality educational products and toys to schools and early childhood centres. MTA relies on StarTrack to provide an efficient service for the delivery of thousands of resources – from large, flat pack items to paint brushes – each year.

MTA also fits out new childcare centres, and this is where StarTrack’s speciality services team steps up.

StarTrack helps to deliver and unpack between five and 30 pallets for these fit-outs, going the extra mile to unload pallets into specific rooms, break them down, and remove all packaging. The delivery team follows specific site instructions and doesn’t stop until the last item is in the centre.

“When managing a large number of projects, you seek a service that consistently provides the highest efficiency, care, professionalism, support and priority. The StarTrack specialty services team delivers all of this for our new childcare centre fit-outs,” said Hessa Robinson, New Projects and Trade Events Co-ordinator.

“Our new centres can be stand alone, part of an existing building or in a high rise city location. StarTrack can handle all challenges.”

“More importantly, StarTrack works with us to ensure our customers receive a high quality service. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. It is fantastic to see the StarTrack team on a first name basis with our customers and MTA representatives. It creates a great working environment on what is a very important day for our customers.”

Or, think about the highly secure environment in which ballot papers need to be collected from polling booths. StarTrack can deliver. From setting up trade shows to providing some extra muscle to lift heavy objects, StarTrack specialty services really does go the extra mile.
